New Los Angeles Lakers Center Timofey Mozgov is Working Out With Famous "King Feet of Miami" Footwork Trainer

New Los Angeles Lakers center Timofey Mozgov is working out with Louis Badillo Jr., a trainer known for his amazing footwork and quickness.

For the first time in his NBA career, Timofey Mozgov is in the spotlight.

Up to this point, the 7-foot-1 center has been largely a reliable bench player. His career totals of 6.3 PPG and 4.4 RPG don't exactly scream superstar, and he's played for three different NBA teams over his six seasons in the league. But that didn't stop the Los Angeles Lakers from reaching a verbal agreement with Mozgov on a four-year deal worth $64 million.

Big contracts always equal big expectations, especially on a high-profile team like the Lakers. The good news for Laker fans is that Mozgov seems hell bent on proving his worth. He recently began working out with Florida-based trainer Luis Badillo Jr., the self-proclaimed "King Feet of Miami, whose clients include NFL players Duke Ihenacho and Kenbrell Thompkins. The height difference between Mozgov and his new trainer is quite entertaining:

As for the workouts, it looks like Badillo has Mozgov focusing on improving his agility and honing his footwork:

The big man can move! Band-Resisted Lateral Shuffles and Sprints are a great way to build agility and lower-body explosiveness, especially when performed in the sand. The quicker Mozgov is on his feet, the more versatile he'll be out on the court.

If Mozgov can move like that by the start of next season, we're guessing the Lakers will be plenty happy with their investment.
